Coding !

Hi All,

Back in the dealership after a week out at Escalla, with the week spent trying to get my head around coding !

I'm not a very technical person so this really wasn't something that came naturally to me. At the beginning of the week I was struggling to make sense of it. However, towards the end of the week, I started to grasp it more, and was very happy to hear I passed the exam !! :D

We touched on 4 different languages: HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP. I had never even heard of these before and could now tell you a bit about each of them and recognise the language from each of them, which I think is a great achievement. I am glad I have had the chance to look into these and have a go at something different, I think coding is a really valuable skill to have within digital marketing and I think it will be a great thing to add to my CV! The next Escalla week is going to be coding continued.. I hope I can manage to get through this... fingers crossed!!!

Yesterday I had my 10-weekly review with Emma and Carley from HR. I got good feedback from John and some new targets set: he would like me to continue my work on Autotrader and do more of the walkaround videos of the cars, which I feel totally comfortable in doing.

After being out for a week I had a lot to catch up on yesterday, uploading videos to the web, checking reports and reviews, and putting out some important social content. Today is used car photo day which will be fun in pouring rain!

Friday is fast approaching and it is almost time for the Tour De Swansway! It has been challenging getting to this point but now we are almost there, I'm really proud of what we have achieved and the money we have raised so far. I hope it goes well,  but one thing's for sure, there will be plenty to write in my citizenship project round up! There has been plenty of ups and downs and an awful lot of thought and preparation. I feel much better about the event after altering the location slightly, and am really happy that everyone here seems to be on board with what we are doing.

Now to sit back and enjoy the ride.. (all 328 miles of it...! ) wish us luck!!!!!!
