Hellooooooooo
This week has been a busy one!
On Monday it was my responsibility to upload 12 new cars onto AutoTrader. This is quite a lengthy process - which is only ever a good thing if it means it is taking up some of my day! The process involves adding any missing key information such as car colour, interior colour, transmission, etc - all of these points help in optimising the vehicle which is obviously crucial. It also involves uploading all 20 of the images and the video, and ensuring these are ordered in the most effective way possible; there is a certain order that the images should be in to gain maximum views and lead to maximum enquiries.
My main focus for this week has been Used car videos, which is very much an ongoing battle!! Me and Luke completed 32 videos last week, which I was pretty pleased with, however the list still to do doesn't ever seem to go down! It is frustrating at this point because the cars still on the list are proving almost impossible to find - they are out with service, out with drivers, demos that are never around, purchased cars that are not yet here, and a multitude of different reasons. Understandably they all need to be done it is just difficult to get them all available, clean and on site ready to photograph. But I am working through best as I can and am pleased with the bulk amount that we have done.
Towards the end of the week when we completed 16 videos in a couple of hours; I thought it a good time to attempt a video walkaround tour myself. After 6 months of dreading it I have now come to realise it really isn't that bad!!! Of course I made everyone turn away and not listen, this what was I was most scared of. I was really concerned about what to say and started panickedly writing full notes to read off - everyone then advised me to just find my own style with it and just say what I see - at first, I thought, not a lot !.. But the more times I had a go I began to realise what to look for and was able to recognise the difference between matrix and LED headlights, whether it has parking sensors, a sound system, etc etc...
I am by no means an expert but I am so proud of myself that I finally gave it a go and found that it really wasn't that bad. I feel much more confident on them and am happy to give them a go whenever it is necessary. I am planning to write down a few of the hard to remember features as I still struggle to recognise car features, but in fairness there is never somebody far away if I need to ask for help. Once video filming was complete, I set about uploading them which again, took a very long time!! I have also been trying to optimise them on Youtube using the title, description and tags, as we found out a couple of weeks ago that evidence suggests viewing cars on YouTube has a high impact in car sales.

We had a great new TT RS come in that meant I got some good content for socials:
In the latest missing videos report I was pleased to see the percentage has gotten lower and we are now only 2% off being in the green; this should be achieved by next week once we have another photo session this Thursday.
Later in the week myself and the rest of the team from the Crewe cycle event will be having a meeting to put more plans in place and continue our work on it.
That's about it from me. The video list continues...
