Will's Blog

This week I thought I'd let Will write the blog! I've tried to make it a fun week for him and kept it varied. Mid week we were pretty busy getting plenty of content scheduled across all 3 social media platforms for the next couple of weeks. At the start of the week I also completed a couple of Escalla reports and got them uploaded to skilsure, so I think I am all on track!

Now.. two weeks out of work! Wooohoooo. See you soon Em :)

Hi my name is Will,

I've been at Crewe Audi for a week now with work experience and i have found it really interesting, fun and helpful if i ever went into marketing in the future. On monday i was taken on a tour of Head Office and shown the different departments, then i was taken across to the Crewe Audi dealership where i was introduced to Sophie and Luke the marketing team at Audi and taken on another tour of Audi. After the tour i was to complete a health and safety course, before i could start any of the marketing work. After lunch I practised taking photos of the cars to improve my skills for the jobs i had to complete later on in the week. Also i created a canva design which was my first piece of work which was scheduled to be posted on their social media which made me proud of what i have achieved.

Tuesday was fun as I got the chance to take photos of an Audi RS5, using the photos I made a review on the RS5 including the incredible details and specs, which included a 2.9L twin turbo V6 engine. I was proud on tuesday as my review was posted on all of Audi social media platforms. I also created an imovie to get a hang of videoing the cars. When Sophie was done taking some videos, I was tasked with the job of uploading them onto Youtube but before they were uploaded I had to optimise them by giving them a title, description and detail on the car, to ensure the maximum amount of views and increase visibility as a dealership.

On wednesday, I started to plan and schedule posts for the next two weeks which was fun, but my most memorable experience was in the afternoon when I modelled Audi's clothing range so they could promote their merchandise, I also didn't expect to do any modelling at all so it was a bit of a surprise.

When Thursday came, I edited the merch photos, gave them captions and put them into a collage then posted them. After posting the merch I started to plan for the rest of the week and the next two weeks as Sophie was going on holiday so needed help planning posts. She was grateful I helped her finish the scheduling.

Then there's today Friday, there's not a lot to do now so me and sophie went out and took some instagram stories as we haven't done one since the post of the RS5's engine revving.

  1. Sounds like you have both had a good time with the social media and not forgetting the Audi rs5 of course. I trust you had a good time at Audi and enjoyed the learning side of the role with regards Digital Marketing. Well done Sophie for working alongside Will.
