The weeks are flying by!
This week has been more of the same really. Social media, photos/videos, optimisation, the usual. For the whole of April we are running a used car campaign, so my manager asked me to come up with a few posts to try and push this.
Head office have provided us with a load of easter eggs to donate to a charity of our choice. My manager John asked me to look into local children's charities within the area and one that immediately sprung to mind was Autism Inclusive; my friends mum is the chairwoman so I got in contact with her and she was thrilled with the idea. I have since being liaising with her and John and arranging when this could take place. The plan is to take a few pictures for Swanscom and this could make a great post for Crewe Audi's social media too! Easter (and a 4 day weekend woohoo) are fast approaching so this needs to be organised and completed ASAP!
I have also taken the time to compile a list of what I am aiming to get out of this apprenticeship. It is important for me to feel like I am getting something out of this for myself and ultimately my future career prospects. Some personal aims for this apprenticeship include having an understanding/ knowledge of the following:
·
Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics
·
Content Management systems (eg Wordpress,
Drupal)
·
Experience of producing email campaigns &
tools such as (mailchimp, dotmailer, campaign monitor)
·
‘Salesforce Marketing Cloud’
·
Knowledge of HTML and photoshop
·
Experience in delivering successful paid search
and SEO programmes.
·
Ability to track campaign performance to measure
success and ROI.
·
Google Ad words
·
Social media (organic & paid)
I I believe some of this will be covered in the Escalla training weeks. For the remainder, I believe the Marketing team at head office complete them all. Hence I asked David if it would be possible for me to get involved or at least observe what/ how they do it, so I at least have a grasp on what these things entail. He was happy to accommodate this; so I am hoping to complete this over the course of the apprenticeship.
Aside from this I have been doing some work on my report. After working through my original concept, I was finding it a bit difficult to continue. It seemed almost too broad a topic with not enough done yet to talk about. The other day I decided to begin on a new report and see if it came along any better. So far it is going ok, I am not sure the topic is technical enough as it is about the first article I had written for the Swansway pages. Emma you can be the judge of that!
Happy weekendddddddddd :)
What a brilliant thing to do for Autism Inclusive. Everybody loves chocolate :-)
ReplyDeleteI am sure your first report will be brilliant! I will have a read on Thursday when I come and see you!
