Recently Crewe Audi witnessed our first little 'Instagram fame' moment! It was the weekend when I received a call from the New Car Sales Manager, alerting me to a post on Instagram. It was an Instagram influencer who had been in to the dealership to pick up her new car. Having shared a photo with her 100k followers, and tagging Crewe Audi, we received an influx of new followers; increasing the count by over 25% in a few short hours, going from around 398 to a now very comfortable 535. This showed to me how very real Instagram advertising/influencers can be, and I would be inclined to say that it works! Luckily we received this boost without having to pay a penny, but having seen how influential the effects can be, I would be led to say that this form of digital marketing is really worth spending the money on. In the light of this post, I received a couple of Instagram DM's from girls enquiring on the car that had been posted. This just goes to show that this form of marketing does translate into enquiries and hopefully then further sales too.
After the post, Crewe Audi's 'profile visits in the last 7 days' were up to 13067. This is obviously massive, and so I tried to make full use of this and consciously post more frequent and more exciting content, with the aim to keep engagement levels as high as possible. I of course reposted the image, and it went on to become our most liked post ever!
Brilliant! I wouldn't have even known who she was, I must be reeeeaaaaallly old! It is great to see that you have maximised the opportunity and thought about what you can post to maintain the followers and gain more! Well done Soph!
