Hello and welcome to my blog all about my Digital Marketing Apprenticeship!
So last week was the induction week for my Apprenticeship with Swansway Group. I will be placed at Crewe Audi, but the first week was spent in Swansway's head office, where myself and the four other Swansway apprentices undertook training for our new roles.
Topics we studied included:
- Our role and responsibilities
- Facebook/Instagram/Google My Business posting
- Utilising Crowd Control - Social Media scheduling platform
- Analytics and Systems
- PR and Internal Communications
- SEO
- Photography/Videography
- GDPR
- FCA
- Google Digital Garage
- Brand, site and product training It was an interesting week, with lots of new information to take onboard. On Friday, we visited AutoTrader head office in Manchester. This was an enjoyable and insightful visit, where we learnt lots of tips and tricks on the best ways to photograph/video our vehicles, so to optimise their online presence and ultimately boost views and sales. We also learnt more about audience segmentation and different demographics and the best way to appeal to different car buyers, be it through the images we take, how we choose to display our information, or the style that we write in. In the light of this induction week I am looking forward to getting stuck into my Apprenticeship, and hope it will be interesting, educational and fulfilling, enabling me in the long run to pursue a successful career within Digital Marketing. I am looking forward to contributing to such a prestigious brands' marketing strategy and hope that my efforts will ultimately aid the business and increase growth. Stay tuned to see how I get on with my first week in the dealership!
It was a really exciting week with lots to take in! There were plenty of ideas buzzing round the room. I can't wait to see the impact you have on the business. Exciting times ahead!
