7th-10th March was a busy few days at Crewe Audi - it was our VIP Showroom Event!
This event promised to be exclusive, exciting and full of exceptional deals. There was a great atmosphere across the dealership, with everyone getting involved one way or another. My manager had asked me if I would help out meeting & greeting and hosting the event; welcoming customers and generally helping out where needed. I was pleased to do this as it allowed me to utilise my customer service skills as well as allowing me to get more involved with the excitement of the event!
An external company called Rhino run these events. They came in a few days prior to setting up and delivered a presentation on how the event was going to look and ideas for how we could use it to maximise profits as much as possible. It was an informative presentation and gave me some ideas for how I could market the event. The setting up began shortly after and this involved drapes across all the windows, an exciting entrance way for customers (red carpet, flashing lights, faux fire, great music - you name it!), in the showroom were celebrity cardboard cutouts, balloons, personalised price stickers on the cars, and much more!
The event provided me with a wealth of opportunities for Social Media posts, and I continued to promote the event throughout the weekend to try and gain as many appointments for the team as possible. I tried to emphasise the excitement and rarity of the Event so to draw customers in. I have found that video content works well for this type of event as it is more engaging and also more useful in really portraying the scene, rather than a static image. In the end, the event was a great success with a huge amount of profit being made across the 4 day event and many happy customers having bagged themselves a great VIP deal.
In the light of this, I look forward to the next VIP Event that will take place in September; having seen how they are run and what goes on, I aim to get more involved with the next one earlier on; perhaps working with head office to promote the event a little earlier on.
All in all it was a varied and exciting week!
